About This Service

This form must be filled out before a budget request is submitted.
Service Availability
Please fill this form out if you have a request that is a project; you can find out more about our project categorization at How to classify project requests. New software, major software upgrades, new hardware or major updates to hardware, and cloud applications that need integration with our systems are some examples of projects.
After submitting the project request form, Information Technology (IT) will do an initial review to determine if this is a full project or if it is a service request; the criteria for being a project or a service request is based on budget, number of IT personnel needed, work hours needed, and complexity.
Service requests that are not considered projects may still be subject to administrator approval and prioritization.
Projects will be moved into our project portfolio intake system. This system allows IT to gather more information to share with the governance committee.
- All projects require that an administrator of the area approves the project request.
- Approved project requests will require additional documentation and information.
- Once all required information is submitted, it will be shared with the relevant Governance Committee.
- The Governance Committees will review all project requests and make recommendations on project priorities.
- President's council has final approval and prioritization of IT projects, as well as oversight of how they communicate their decisions.
- Approved projects will move from the project portfolio intake system into the project management system.
Note: Some mandated, security-related, or time critical projects may bypass some of these steps.
